Currently Yorkshire’s Guest Accommodation of the Year – Awarded to Low Penhowe in 2008 as Yorkshire’s Guest Accommodation of the Year and one of the 10 finalists across the whole of England. This was awarded by ‘Welcome to Yorkshire’ formally the Yorkshire Tourist Board
Best Breakfast in Yorkshire – Awarded to Low Penhowe in 2008/9 for the Best Yorkshire Breakfast and offering our guests a home grown, home made, home baked or locally sourced breakfast menu. This was awarded by Regional Food Group for Yorkshire and Humber, commonly known as Deliciously Yorkshire.
Awarded – ‘VisitEngland Breakfast Award’ as presented by Visit England for offering our guests high quality, a great choice of breakfast along with exceedingly good hospitality and service.
Currently the city of York’s Guest Accommodation of the Year – Awarded to Low Penhowe in 2009 as the city of York’s Guest Accommodation of the Year. This was awarded by ‘VisitYork the official tourist authority in York’
Gold Award for Going Green – The aim of the Green Tourism Business Scheme criteria is to offer guidelines to tourism businesses on how to make their operations more sustainable while still delivering a high quality service.
