Low Penhowe

‘Low Penhowe’ is old Yorkshire dialect for ‘the sheep pen on a hill’. Low Penhowe, with absolutely stunning views was described as “a very elegant home”  by VisitBritain, which has awarded B&B owners, Philippa and Christopher Turner 5 Star and the Gold award for their outstanding Yorkshire Bed and Breakfast. We pride ourselves on the excellence of our Aga cooked breakfasts.

A Tripadvisor review from guests who stayed with us in March 2012

A beautiful and peaceful place. Hosts very welcoming – tea and cake served in the drawing room in front of a log fire was just what we needed on arrival after a very wet day spent walking. Our room was spotlessly clean with everything we could wish for, including a very comfortable bed, and had a view over the garden, which was teeming with wild birds.  Christopher and Phillippa were very helpful, full of local knowledge and recommendations and provided many small touches that one usually finds only in luxury hotels. Altogether a first rate B&B which we would not hesitate to revisit.
